Daktronics has globally launched its Flip-Chip COB (Chip On Board) LED display technology. The company’s newest Narrow Pixel Pitch (NPP) product line offers more compact pixel pitches, ranging from 1.8 millimeters down to 0.9 millimeters, along with enhanced robustness and reduced energy usage. This innovative COB technology presents a viable alternative to conventional Surface Mount Device (SMD) and Integrated Matrix Device (IMD) LED solutions. It generates less heat on the display surface and eliminates wire bonds to boost reliability. Additionally, it lowers energy consumption, resulting in a reduced long-term cost of ownership.
