Planar Unveils 109″ MicroLED Display as an Alternative to Projection

Planar has expanded its Planar UltraRes L Series All-in-One LED platform by introducing a 109-inch model featuring MicroLED technology. Available in Full HD resolution and boasting 800-nit brightness, the 109-inch and 136-inch Planar UltraRes L Series All-in-One LED displays now provide three times the brightness while significantly reducing power consumption per unit of brightness. The integration of MicroLED technology also results in richer blacks and improved contrast, enhancing the visual performance for wide-viewing angles. This improvement supports the simultaneous display of up to four content sources, facilitated by the display’s multiple inputs, allowing content to be shown in picture-in-picture, dual, triple, or quad layouts via any of its five video inputs.

The initial launch of Planar’s all-in-one LED display offered a seamless LED solution that merged fine pixel pitch LED technology with the top-tier features of the Planar® UltraRes Series. The latest iteration of the Planar UltraRes L Series All-in-One LED display now boasts an expanded color gamut, delivering more vivid colors and a more immersive experience for a variety of settings, including classrooms, meeting rooms, lobbies, and retail environments.

The 109-inch and 136-inch Planar UltraRes L Series All-in-One LED displays uphold the platform’s popular deployment flexibility, offering options for a rolling floor stand and wall mounting to accommodate both temporary and permanent installations. The solution also simplifies assembly, requiring only two people, and can be powered with a single 110V cable.
