The new technology offers pixel pitches as fine as 0.9 millimeters, boasting improved durability, reliability, and reduced power usage, thereby enhancing the customer experience.

Details of the Flip-Chip COB LED Display
The COB technology introduced by Daktronics presents a novel alternative to conventional Surface Mount Device (SMD) and Integrated Matrix Device (IMD) LED solutions. It reduces heat generation on the display surface and eliminates wire bonds, thereby enhancing reliability. Additionally, it lowers power consumption, resulting in a reduced long-term ownership cost.
The COB product’s cabinet is currently the slimmest and lightest on the market. Coupled with Daktronics’ Speed Frame installation process, it ensures a swift and seamless installation, complete with borders for a polished, modern look.
Daktronics’ extensive experience of over 35 years in coatings and encapsulants has been instrumental in the reliability and durability of the COB product. The company has developed a specialized encapsulant design that offers a deep black matte finish, ensuring high contrast, vivid colors, and sharp images. This design also safeguards the product during shipping and installation, acting as a barrier against impact, moisture, dust, static, and oxidation.
