Blue Elephant Expands Offerings with Cutting-Edge Theatrixx LED Screens

In the UK, Blue Elephant, a company renowned for its expert technical production services, has taken a pioneering step by being the first audiovisual (AV) provider in the country to procure the advanced xVision Nomad 2.6 LED screen technology from Theatrixx Technologies.

Specializing in premium production and bespoke solutions for diverse events, Blue Elephant has acquired a substantial quantity of over 100 square meters (comprising 320 panels, with an additional 100 panels expected soon) of the new, high-definition Nomad LED screen system from Theatrixx. This package is further enhanced by processing units from Brompton Technology, an award-winning company based in London.

The xVision Nomad 2.6 indoor screen presents a suite of benefits for AV production enterprises. Its top-tier visual output is matched by a sturdy design featuring die-cast aluminium panels and a glueless module structure. Theatrixx’s exclusive TPEP (titanium/polymer edge protection) technology also reinforces the screen’s resilience, minimizing damage risks to the screen’s peripheral pixels.

The Nomad’s latest iteration boasts brighter, anti-glare black diodes by Multi-Color, achieving a superior colour range reproduction of ≥95% DCI-P3 and perfect blue hues at 1375 Nits brightness. The performance of these diodes is fully leveraged by the new Brompton Tessera R2+ receiving cards, which serve as the powerhouse for processing.

A novel feature of the Nomad is its ‘shaderless’ design ethos, realized through Theatrixx’s ‘liquid shader’ innovation, which replaces the need for traditional solid shaders on LED modules. This ingenious design omits screws and fragile components, offering a broad viewing span of over 170 degrees from any direction, without colour distortion. Additionally, Theatrixx has incorporated universal industry-standard IP-rated connectors, making it easy for customers to use their pre-existing cables.

The screen’s design now includes ‘lock and go’ latches which facilitate quicker setup and an established rotary angle hub system that allows the screen to seamlessly curve at +/- 2.5 or 5 degrees, providing creative setup options without extra components. These enhancements ensure remarkable visual displays while also reducing operational and maintenance expenses.

William Kemp, the managing director of Blue Elephant, commented on the acquisition, stating: “After thorough evaluation, we opted for the Theatrixx LED solution coupled with Brompton processing. Its ultra-high refresh rate, the liquid shader’s uniform contrast, and the accurate colour reproduction meet our high standards across the board. We are confident that the visual quality will be as appealing to our clients and their audiences as it is to us. Additionally, the versatility provided by the integrated rotary angle hub makes this a standout LED product.”

Kemp also noted the significance of the LED panel’s robustness, emphasizing the reduced downtime and improved reliability that will ultimately lead to greater value for their clientele and partners. He affirmed that this investment reflects Blue Elephant’s dedication to integrating top-tier technology in all of its projects.

Blue Elephant has an established relationship with Theatrixx, having previously invested in the Montreal-based company’s array of sturdy and dependable signal converters. Theatrixx Technologies continues to concentrate on delivering innovative, high-quality, and reliable products with strong customer support.
